I’m Hannah and I live in Sheffield with my husband Nick and our two children Ivy (5) and Albie (10 months). I fell into motherhood completely by suprise at the age of 20 but I wouldn’t change a thing.

Up until my second baby Albie, I was a early years teacher in Sheffield. It’s something I always dreamt of so when Ivy was 6 weeks old I went to University and completed a degree in Early Years Education with Qualified Teacher Status with First class honours. I taught in a deprived area of Sheffield and fell in love with the children in the school, particularly the children in my class. I loved working with the children and seeing what they could learn and achieve.

However with the birth of my second child Albie, I realised that I had enjoyed taking my daughter to school everyday and being able to be involved with things at her school that I would never have had the opportunity to do if I had been teaching. It was then that I realised that I needed to find something different. Something where I could continue being ‘mum’ but also follow my passion for early years and working with children. 😊 I’d worked with my mum as a registered childminder’s assistant for over 10 years in and around teaching and studying, so after a lot of chatting and list writing I decided to take the plunge into setting up on my own and CHILDCARE ADVENTURES was born!!!!
